seattle grunge

well kinda, this is more of a preppy version...but I love that little silver belt on this loose plaid shirt to give it more shape. (belt: Nordstroms BP $10!)

sweater wraps

I just love this long sweater wrap from banana...not only is it comfy, but you can wear it with a summer dress and still be warm...

Or pair it with jeans and high boots like this...

wish I were a little bit taller...

It's funny how wearing ankle boots with your skinny jeans can make you look dramatically taller. All day people kept asking if I grew a few more inches over night. These ankle boots are from Nine West and love that they are suede.

Gap actually has some great darkwash jeans in their 1969 collection...these are the straight-leg ones and I wear them with everything.

winter romantic

I saw this look in a magazine last week, but I think pairing a soft silk shirt with a bulk sweater can look romantic and warm, even in the dead of winter.

Paired with my favorite citizens jeans and some knee high boots from banana...i think that light brown color is hot!

The Scott Dayton Situation

So I've been wardrobe styling for a short independent film about to start production in March. The plot involves a girl who finds her muse in Scott Dayton, an upcoming musician who performs in a band that is about to become the next big thing and currently touring the country. In real life, the band in the movie is a local band called Fools and Horses and the guys could not be nicer...so here's some of the outfits I came up with, hope you like:

prime rib

So the roommates decided to celebrate Nulty's bday (aka nultsack) at the fancy Prime Rib restaurant on K street during restaurant week. Wasn't sure what to wear in freezing cold weather, so added a summer dress and winterized it with boots, tights and a heavy sweater jacket. The feather headband is handmade and purchased from my favorite hand-made/crafty website called Etsy.com....if you haven't heard of it yet, go check it out!
